The Benefits of Avocado Oil
Avocado Oil is a super versatile and keto-friendly oil.
With a mild and nutty taste, it can be used to cook with or used in marinades, dips, or dressings. Avocado oil is a favorite among many Keto followers due to its high healthy fat content. This oil is considered heart healthy as it’s high in monounsaturated fatty acids and is anti-inflammatory.
With a high smoking point, avocado oil can be used for cooking or frying in place of traditional oils like canola or vegetable. We use it in many of our meals at 518 Kitchen because of this. We sauté the kale and broccoli for our breakfast hash in avocado oil, giving it a rich flavor, while incorporating healthy fat. It's also great for grilling, roasting, and sauteing meats and vegetables.
Adding fat is critical to the Keto diet. The diet suggests your diet consistent of roughly 75% fat, 20% protein, and 5% carbohydrates.
Because you need to consume a high amount of fat to reach ketosis, it can sometimes be difficult to determine the good fat from the bad fat. Avocado oil is a good fat, that promotes better cholesterol and aids in the absorption of other important nutrients. Rich in Oleic Acid, a healthy fat, and Vitamins A, E, and D, incorporating it in your diet can help you stay on track with the right types of fat while getting important nutrients.
